'Sri Lanka Guardian' —  A banned web newspaper recently accused of spreading misinformation about the Prime Minister of  Bangladesh. The web newspaper published a report on October 15, quoting Aniruddh Patel, claiming that India's top spy agency has formed a new group called the 'Brigade75' to protect Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In the report, they claimed that  R&AW has trained selected officials from the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI),  Bangladesh Armed Forces, and Indian Armed Forces. Their new group is called Brigade75 and the entire budget for Brigade75 is $4 billion.

Aniruddha Patel is a political analyst from 'Sri Lanka Guardian' who advises many South Asian countries on national security and intelligence matters, but no legitimate profile of his can be found on the Internet which is so illogical that it could rise questions among general journalists too.

Moreover, despite the fact that their editor-in-chief, Eric Bailey, is an American journalist, there are many English grammatical mistakes in their reports and at the same time, no legitimate profile of him can be found on the Internet. The Watchdog Post's IT analyst also tried Google Lens with search tools to find his profile and found that there was no legitimate person by that name.

Bangladesh recently sought a $5 billion loan from the IMF where spending $4 billion on the security of the prime minister of Bangladesh is nothing but foolish information. besides, billions of dollars have not been spent on the security of any head of state in the world.

An online conspiracy news portal called 'Weekly Blitz' recently wrote a report quoting Tajul Islam. There they ran the Sri-Lanka Guardian's article as propaganda stuff of BNP leader Mahmudur Rahman, Al Jazeera's investigative journalist Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami, and Interpol-wanted terror-funder Shahid Uddin Khan while culprits in cyber-terror & extortion machine ‘Nagorik TV’ were assigned.

It should be noted that the Caribbean-based media WIC News has claimed the 'Weekly Blitz' as a poor, unethical, and biased journalism site where they gave 'Poor journalism attempts to defame the Caribbean by fraudulent website' as the title on the front.

In 2010, 'Sri Lanka Guardian' was banned in Sri Lanka due to spreading false information and claimed it was a fake form of Investigative Journalism.

A Prominent Bangladeshi Human Rights Activist and Blogger Pinaki Bhattacharya posted a video on his Youtube channel claiming that Sri Lanka Guardian is nothing but a clickbait organization to seek people's attention.
